리콜 사유

해당 식기세척기 모델 중 일부 제품의 PCB 보드 과열로 인한 (낮은 확률이지만) 화재 우려가 있습니다. 현재까지 전세계에서 관련한 인적 사고 사례는 없습니다. 본사에서 제공한 하기 설명을 참조하시기 바랍니다: Under certain circumstances an electrical component in a control panel inside certain dishwasher models can overheat posing a potential fire hazard to consumers. The root cause of the potential safety risk is an inadequate soldering point holding the heating relay onto the printed circuit board (PCB) within the control panel of the dishwasher: When the heating relay is activated the electrical current will flow through the relay to the heating element. The heating element warms the water inside the dishwasher. The heating relay is automatically switched off when the required water temperature is achieved. The current flow to the heater is then stopped. This means that current is only flowing through the soldering point when (1) the machine is in use (i.e. not in standby mode) and (2) the heater relay is activated. This only occurs during the heating periods which are typically approx. 2 x 15 minutes within a standard dishwasher programme (hereafter: cycle). The soldering point acts in the same way as a resistor which means that heat is created when the current flows through the soldering point. The heat created at the soldering point depends on the resistance. A poor connection (i.e. a poor soldering point) can create more heat. A repeated overheating of the soldering point can lead to a gradual degeneration of the solder. This could cause almost invisible micro-cracks in the soldering material. The number of cracks and their size grow with the degeneration of the solder from the repeated heating cycles. An electric arc could be generated between the edges of a crack when current is flowing. A large enough electric arc could either melt the soldering material completely or cause sparking, leading to melting/burning inside the control panel area of the dishwasher. The consequences of a relevant electric arc depend on the specific circumstances
